It has been estimated that approximately 45 million Americans complain about headaches each year, which is almost 1 out of every 6 people! Sadly, only 8 Million people actually visit their doctor for help. With such a large portion of the population not seeking treatment, this opens up many opportunities for dentists to help.
This 2-day seminar provides dentists an opportunity to understand the neuroanatomical relationship with in the cranio-cervical area that can complicate the diagnosis of a simple toothache or other orofacial related pain. Pain referral patterns can render misdiagnosis, potentially leading to unnecessary or ineffective treatment.

A Multidisciplinary Pain, TMD & Sleep Symposium, will help dentists to understand what physicians do in a diagnostic workup and treatment of overlapping craniofacial pain.
