Rose,
Thank you for your help. What codes would you use for Partial Boney Ext 1 and 16, and complicated 32?

Answer from Rose:

The diagnosis code for impacted teeth is: 520.6 , Disturbances in tooth eruption

For the procedure we would recommend using the “D” CDT codes. When placed on a medical claim, the CDT codes are recognized as a second level CPT code called HCPCS. Some carriers accept the 41899, Unspec. Dentoalveolar proc. We have seen better results with the CDT/HCPCS code.

Have a great New Year (can you believe it’s 2013!),
