Hi Christian!
There is not currently a specific CPT code to represent orthodontic braces. many insurers these days will process "D" codes when they are medically necessary services), or you can use the CPT code below and include a narrative report describing the procedure: 41899 - Unlisted procedure, dentoalveolar structures
Hope this helps!

My name is Christian Jones and I am finally on the right track to receiving the medical attention I have been needing. I have been dealing with an airway restriction(Sleep Apnea + TMJ) which has caused numerous other issues for the majority of my life and have finally received some great insight. After a car accident happened to make things a bit worse, I have been recommended for a jaw reconstruction surgery that will require Jaw Correction, Posterior Tongue Tie Release, and OMT, which means I will need braces over the next 6-8 months to begin the process. (Will provide all medical documents and history)
I am reaching out in all hopes that you are able to guide me in the right direction of how to medically code this information for braces to file to my insurance. (BCBSTX) It is an $80k surgery at the moment , but it is very necessary for a better overall quality of life. If you can, please respond at your earliest convenience. Thank you and have a blessed day!
Currently searching for the CPT(Procedure) code.
