Great question. Here is a helpful list from the AAOMS's coding paper for anesthesia services which offers descriptions of the various sedatin/anesthesia codes available:

And also an example medical policy for Aetna for General Anesthesia and Monitored Anesthesia Care for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Services where you can find the accepted procedure and diagnosis codes!:

Hello, our office does IV Sedation, we have an outside anesthesiologist who comes in to do the sedation and monitor while our dr does the procedure. What CPT codes are used in these cases to bill medical insurance?
