Hi guest!

Note from Rose:

The numbing would be included in the procedure:

Diagnosis

ICD S01.409A
Open Wound of Cheek and Temporomandibular Area

Procedure

CPT 41805 Removal of embedded foreign body from dentoalveolar structures; soft tissues

Or

CPT 41899 Unlisted procedure, dentoalveolar structures

I have a patient that was hit in the mouth with a softball. Her cheek was attached to her braces.
So far I have:

Diagnosis
S09.93xA Injury of Face
W21.07xA Struck by softball, initial encounter
M27.2 Inflammation of Jaw

Procedures
99214 Established Patient Trauma
99058 Worked into schedule

I am trying to figure out if there is a code for him numbing the patient and detaching her cheek from the braces. Can you help me with that?
