Dr. Chris Sterling,

Both of those codes would fall into unspecified codes. Out of the codes that you listed, the 524.63 would be the best as the primary diagnosis.

I received a denial on a claim for TMJ. I used code 524.69 and 715.9. BCBS said I need a code with highest level of diagnosis. Do you have any suggestions? Dr. Bailey diagnosed her with codes 524.69, 715.9 , 524.63, 723.1

Thanks , Dr. Chris Sterling
