When Crosscode is working from the server but is not working from the workstations, there are two areas to check.

The first area to check is to make sure that the File Location for Crosscode has been set up. Start DentalWriter, select Tools, then Options, then File Locations. Check the entry for Crosscode and make sure it is filled in. If empty, then press the icon to the right of the field and Browse starting at MY NETWORK PLACES, ENTIRE NETWORK, MICROSOFT WINDOWS NETWORK, YOURGROUPNAME, and YOURSERVERNAME, Crosscode, then select the Crosscde.exe file and say OK.

The second area if the entry on the File Locations is there and NOT pointing to the C:\Program Files\....then go to the server that is hosting the Crosscode and:
Right-Click on START, select EXPLORE, browse to the Crosscode folder and RIGHT-CLICK on the Crosscode folder name. Select "Sharing and Security", make sure it is "shared". If not, share it and allow other users to change files. If there is a PERMISSIONS button, click it and give the user EVERYONE FULL CONTROL. Apply this setting. Select the SECURITY TAB. Make sure there is a User name EVERYONE. If not, Add one. Select Everyone and give it FULL CONTROL.

If the above options DO NOT resolve the issue, please give us a call at 800-879-6468 or email us at TechSupport@DentalWriter.com
