A patient was kicked in the face by a cow. We have to do some reconstructive dental treatment. I have codes 873.53 and 525.11, should that be enough or is there other codes I can use to help get medical to pay the claim?

Thank you for your question, that is quite the accident!
The 525.11 code, which is "loss of teeth due to trauma", is fine to use.
Instead of code 873.53, you should use 873.63 which is "tooth: broken or fractured due to trauma."
You can also use the E906.8 code, which is "other specified injury caused by animal". This includes striking or butting injuries where the animal was not being ridden.
For the filing of this case, I recommend sending a diagnostic report explaining the accident including the specific dates of the accident.
Good luck on your billing!
