If a patient's med insurance only covers 60% of a TMJ split, xrays, etc can we bill their dental for the remainder as long as we send in the EOB from the health insurance?

Yes, you can. Just make sure that you submit it with the EOB. There is a drawback in that the codes on the medical claim would be different than what you would submit to dental. Do they even still have dental benefits left since we are at the end of the year.

I would suggest that you use the dental codes on the dental claim form. The charges would be the same so hopefully the insurance company will figure it out on the EOB.
