Hi,
Any idea what CPT codes I could use for the following procedures?
D0220/D0230 (on separate visits we did 2, 3 and 4 pax) D7053 (bone graft) D9120 (section bridge) D9630 (Chlorhexidine rinse - bottle dispensed) D6010 (Implant placement)
We also did root canals and surgical extractions but I know we need to use "D" codes for those.
Thanks!

Hi Guest!
D0220 - intraoral - periapical first radiographic image can be cross coded to: 70300 - Radiologic examination, teeth; single view
D0230 - intraoral - periapical each additional radiographic image Can be cross coded to: 70310 - Radiologic examination, teeth; partial examination, less than full mouth
As for D7053 - i don't show that is a valid CDT code. Did you mean D7953? D7953 - bone replacement graft for ridge preservation - per site Can be cross coded to: 21210 - Graft, bone; nasal, maxillary or malar areas (includes obtaining graft) 21215 - Graft, bone; mandible (includes obtaining graft) **use modifier -52 for reduced services when bone is not obtained from patient
D9630 - other drugs and/or medicaments, by report can be crosscoded to: 99070 - Supplies and materials (except spectacles), provided by the physician or other qualified health care professional over and above those usually included with the office visit or other services rendered (list drugs, trays, supplies, or materials provided)
D6010 - surgical placement of implant body: endosteal implant can be cross coded to: 21248 - Reconstruction of mandible or maxilla, endosteal implant (eg, blade, cylinder); partial(3or less) 21249 - Reconstruction of mandible or maxilla, endosteal implant (eg, blade, cylinder); complete (4 or more)
D9120 - fixed partial denture sectioning
The code listed above does not have a direct crosscode we are aware of, so you can either bill the "D" code on the medical claim (many insurers these days will process "D" codes when they are medically necessary services), or you can try the CPT code below and include a narrative report describing the procedure: 41899 - Unlisted procedure, dentoalveolar structures
Hope this helps!
